Full Stack Developer · Lead AI Developer at Ittes
I started coding because I'm hooked on automating things — ever since 2016. Back then I automated everything by hand; now I let AI do the heavy lifting, while I keep the reins (and the responsibility) firmly in my own hands.
At Ittes I'm a full stack developer and I lead the AI branch. I've been working there 2 years now on a multi-tenant SaaS platform: from database to interface, with a focus on AI agents, security and infrastructure.
It doesn't stop at the office: a home-built NAS, self-hosted media, and always some side-project humming away somewhere.
If there are docs for it, I'll get it working — but I do have my favourites.
Co-built a fully custom CMS for my father's neighbourhood association, RAAK Lichtaart — from events, photo albums and a calendar to a cookbook, puzzles and a bespoke admin panel.
Not exactly relevant anymore, but I'll put it here anyway: my secondary-school final project (Electronics-ICT), built back before the AI era. An arcade machine on a Raspberry Pi with RFID login, a WS2812B LED screen and a companion website for the scores. Click through for a remake of the original project site.
18 years in the KSA youth movement, 7 of them as a leader. A youth movement teaches you to think on your feet and solve problems like nothing else.
Solving problems isn't something I only do behind a screen. On the climbing wall every boulder is a puzzle — just with a bit more chalk.
On weekends I like grabbing a drink with friends. The best ideas still show up once the laptop is closed.
